UPDATE OF THE 2003 COMPREHENSIVE LONG RANGE PLAN

The Village Council has appointed a Comprehensive Long-Range Plan Review Committee that is tasked with overseeing the update of the 2003 Plan.  The committee is chaired by the Mayor and includes the following individuals:

The committee typically meets the second Wednesday of each month at 1:00 PM in the Assembly Hall.  Glenn Chalder, with Planimetrics is coordinating the Plan Update.  These meetings are always open to the public. 

The first DRAFT of the plan has been presented to the Steering Committe.  There are two booklets, the Strategic Element and the Implementation Element. 

A public information meeting will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fair Barn, 200 Beulah Hill Rd S.  The purpose of this meeting is to get feedback from Pinehurst residents on the plan. 

A public meeting was held on Monday, November 16, 2009 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Village Assembly Hall.  Around 100 citizens attended.  The preliminary strategies were presented at this event and feedback on these strategies was given from attendees.  The maps on display at this meeting can be found here.  A phone survey was also condicted around this time with similar questions relating to the strategies.  

A series of public meetings were held on January 12, 13, and 14, 2009.  Citizens were broken into groups upon arrival and each group concentrated on a topic that is currently covered in the Comprehensive Plan.  Results of these meetings can be viewed by clicking here.  A series of maps were on display at the meetings, including: Existing Land Use Map; and Land Use Changes 2003-2009.
