PINEWILD ANNEXATION

On Friday, June 15, 2007 the Village Council adopted an Annexation Ordinance to effect the annexation of Pinewild Country Club of Pinehurst. Because of a legal challenge, the effective date of the annexation was delayed.  With an order from the NC Supreme Court filed on February 3, 2010, the annexation is effective on March 31, 2010.

Leading up to the adoption of the annexation ordinance, the Village Council followed the schedule below during the annexation proceedings:

Tuesday, January 9, 2007 - Adopted a Resolution of Intent
Tuesday, January 23, 2007 - Approved a Services Plan
Friday, March 2, 2007 (9-11 am; 1-3 pm; 5-7 pm) - Conducted Public Information Meetings
Tuesday, March 27, 2007 (1 pm) - Held the Public Hearing
Friday, June 15, 2007 - Adopted Annexation Ordinance
