BEAUTIFICATION GRANT PROGRAM

The Pinehurst Village Council has resurrected a small grants program to assist neighborhood associations, civic organizations and garden clubs with beautification efforts within public right-of-ways.  Funds have been budgeted that may be applied for by these organizations in order to enhance a street corner, triangle intersection, neighborhood entrance, etc. 

The grant guidelines stipulate that the landscape beautification project must be within the public right of way and must be in an area of high visibility.  Grant awards are capped at a maximum of $2,000.   Improvements to private property are not eligible for grant funds.

To apply, an organization must be listed as a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization or must have a verifiable membership roll along with a separate bank account.  Organizations may apply via a written request detailing the project.  No application form is necessary. The request should include location, details of what is to be added or removed, a sketch of the planting plan, estimated costs and long term maintenance plans.  The request may be submitted to the Assistant Village Manager of Operations, 395 Magnolia Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
